Built by developers, for developers.
CodeSentra is a modern toolkit that keeps fast-moving codebases healthy. We help teams analyze code, surface issues early, and ship with confidence— without slowing down the work.
What we focus on
- • Actionable findings with suggested fixes
- • Low noise via tuned rules & confidence scoring
- • Privacy-first: run locally or in CI
- • Simple CLI, clean reports, easy adoption
How it started
A practical answer to growing technical debt.
CodeSentra began as an internal tool to tame sprawling repos—spotting dead code, risky patterns, and missing tests across multiple services. The goal was simple: give engineers signal, not noise, and make it effortless to act on.
As the approach matured, we turned it into a product so any team can benefit: a developer-friendly CLI, HTML/JSON reports for CI, and a path to editor hints— all with a privacy-first design.
Our vision & mission
Vision
A world where codebases stay lean, safe, and well-tested by default—so teams ship faster with fewer surprises.
Mission
Deliver precise, actionable insights and test scaffolds, integrate seamlessly with existing workflows, and expand language coverage without adding friction.
Principles we build by
Actionable by default
Every finding includes a clear fix or test snippet.
Signal over noise
Confidence scoring and tuned rules reduce false positives.
Privacy-first
Your code stays local or in CI unless you opt in to cloud.
Developer-centric
CLI first, clean reports, editor integrations on the way.
Milestones
Internal toolkit → first CLI
Dead-code maps, unsafe-pattern rules, and HTML/JSON reports.
Test generator (JS/TS)
Function parsing → Jest/Vitest test skeletons for quick coverage wins.
Security checks (beta)
Common vulnerability patterns & config issues with severity grading.
What’s next
Language expansion
Python, Go, Java, Kotlin with idiomatic rule packs.
Deeper security
Secret scanning, SBOM, and framework-aware checks.
Editor integrations
Inline hints & quick-fixes via VSCode extension.
Who we are
We’re pragmatic builders who care about ergonomics and outcomes. We obsess over signal quality and making the next step obvious for the developer at the keyboard.
Want to collaborate, partner, or share feedback? We’d love to hear from you—especially if you run large JS/TS repos or multi-language monorepos.
